3. Connection Method Check
Start with Connection Methods.
Quick rule of thumb:
- Most modern devices and accessories on phones/tablets: BLE.
- Manual says SPP, Bluetooth Serial, or Serial Port: SPP.
- You need to choose a COM or USB serial port: Serial.
- You need to enter an IP address: Wi-Fi.
4. SPP on Windows / macOS
SPP is the easiest path to confuse.
- Windows: HiBean’s SPP list usually comes from system-paired devices. Read Windows Classic Bluetooth (SPP).
- macOS: HiBean discovers SPP devices via nearby inquiry scan. Read macOS Classic Bluetooth (SPP).
